Cornerstone Ruminations

Ferris Bueller once said, “Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.” In a world where we all wish to be younger, we forget that bringing wisdom, depth and confidence to a party is something that should be celebrated with age. When we get older, we find ourselves wishing we could go back in time and tell our younger selves a few words of wisdom. Read below to see the advice that each Cornerstone member would give their younger selves.
Don – You eat an elephant one bite at a time & trust your instincts.
Leslie – Be strong, be proud, be honest, be loving – Be your true self & don’t forget to take time for Yourself – you don’t always have to take care of everyone else first!
Hailey – Remember to be kind to those around you. You never know what someone else is going through and kindness can go a really long way.
Autumn – STOP trying to grow up so fast!! Truly live and savor the moments of childhood. Don't try and grow up so fast because one day you will blink, and the moments will be memories. You won't be in high school, living with your parents without a care in the world. You will one day regret not soaking in that time with them.
Jennifer – Trust your instincts, that person that doesn’t seem like a good friend isn’t. If they show you who they are, believe it. You have great people, don’t wait around for ones that don’t appreciate you.
